About the organisation
Hobby Hub Yaxley CIC and Yaxley & Farcet Men’s Shed are creative community spaces offering arts, crafts, and practical skills workshops. They aim to reduce isolation, boost mental health, and empower people through skill-sharing and social connection.

Funded project
The MENtor Shed initiative will open these facilities to young people, creating an intergenerational programme that bridges gaps in practical skills provision. Activities will include woodworking, repair, and creative design workshops, combined with mentoring to build confidence, resilience, and employability skills.
The project will benefit around 150 residents, including NEET young people and older adults, and will foster community pride through collaborative projects.
How the fund helps
Funding supports rent, utilities, insurance and DBS checks, enabling the project to open facilities to young people and sustain delivery for two years.
