Signposts clients to agencies. Works closely with Citizens Advice for those wanting information on benefits or advice.

Provides a drop-in centre for those collecting parcels.

The Pantry sells affordable food to support low income families.

Helping to generate independence and dignity to those in need of support.

Also supports various homeless facilities across the wider community.

Provides food parcels which include non-perishable items and pet food to help support individuals, couples and families through difficult times (usually enough for 3 days).

Provides voucher to schools and the local authority, but also offers emergency service when contacted directly.

A range of donations usually from the Co-op, Greggs and Anglian Water.

The fridge is an open access fridge stocked with surplus food from local businesses that is freely available to all members of the community on an honesty basis.

Emergency food parcels are made up of a small amount of food but also a plate, bowl, saucepan, frying pan etc for when someone is going into temporary accommodation.

Self-referrals: Please email us to discuss your situation. We can signpost clients to agencies who can help and provide future referrals.

Deliveries on these days are made between 8am and 1pm

The email account is checked at least daily, but the phone is only monitored when we are open.

The community cafe in the church is open on Tuesday from 10am to 12pm

Who we help:

The Food Bank serves everyone in crisis, regardless of faith or belief. It's important to be passionate about inclusion and being non-judgemental is central to the ethos of the Food Bank.  It is underpinned by the belief that everyone has the right to food, dignity, skills, a chance to work and hope for the future.

Food parcels:

We provide enough food basics to provide a nutritionally balanced diet for a minimum of 3 days. The packages are designed for emergencies and contain a small range of 'must haves' for those who could not get by without.

St Ives and the surrounding villages: Bluntisham, Colne, Earith, Fen Drayton, Fenstanton, The Hemingfords, Needingworth, Pidley, Somersham and Wyton-on-the-Hill.
