The parking fine appeals process enables you to challenge your fine if you believe it was in error, or if you feel there are mitigating circumstances that should be considered.

Before you decide to appeal your fine, please look at the reasons for your fine below which offer guidance for each contravention. Selecting the reason will open a new page which gives some common themes for appealing against the fine and suggests the information you should include.

How to contact us regarding your appeal

Before you decide to appeal your fine, please look at the reasons for your fine above and ensure you provide all relevant information.

All contact regarding appeals must be in writing. If you haven't heard from us within 14 working days of sending your appeal, please contact us.

When contacting us about your appeal, please include your name, the fine reference number (A0##) and your vehicle registration.

Verbal decisions cannot, and will not, be given.

If you make an appeal within 14 days of the parking fine being issued, the period for reduced payment will be extended by the time taken to decide the appeal.

Making a payment

If you pay your fine within 14 days of the date it was issued you only pay the lower amount shown on your fine. If you pay after 14 days, you will need to pay the full value displayed on the fine.

Payment must be made in full. Please check your fine to see the value that should be paid.

Please do not ignore your fine as this could result in the value increasing or you becoming liable for additional costs incurred due to prosecution.

Reasonable adjustments

Parking fine appeals must be made in writing. Verbal decisions cannot, and will not, be given.
