RAF Wyton has officially launched its new Collaboration Hub, bringing together four founding industry members – CDS, CGI, MAIAR and Vantor – alongside Huntingdonshire District Council, in a dedicated collaborative space designed to accelerate innovation, strengthen partnerships and support future capability development. The launch marks a significant milestone in the evolution of Project FAIRFAX and its ambition to establish a world-leading defence intelligence ecosystem centred on RAF Wyton.

The Collaboration Hub provides an environment where Defence and industry can work side by side to explore emerging challenges and develop innovative solutions. As the founding members of the Hub, CDS, CGI, MAIAR and Vantor will help shape its future direction and support the development of a vibrant innovation community at RAF Wyton.

Wing Commander John Grenville, Station Commander of RAF Wyton said:

“The launch of the FAIRFAX Collaboration hub is a huge milestone for both Project FAIRFAX and Wyton. Not only is the hub the first building of Wyton Campus, but more importantly it illustrates the strength of the growing relationship forged between Defence, Huntingdonshire District Council and our key industrial partners. FAIRFAX strengthens our ability to deliver for UK Defence while also bringing real value to the local community. I am confident that under FAIRFAX, Wyton will retain its crown as a centre of intelligence excellence but will also offer really exciting opportunities for local people and drive growth in the region.”

The launch event included remarks from Michelle Sacks, who spoke about the importance of partnership and long-term collaboration in delivering the ambitions of Project FAIRFAX. Her address highlighted the opportunity to bring together Defence, industry and academia to create an environment where ideas can be developed, tested and translated into real-world impact.

The Collaboration Hub is the first visible step in a much broader journey for Project FAIRFAX, creating a foundation for future growth and collaboration while reinforcing RAF Wyton's role as a nationally significant centre for geospatial intelligence.
