We have appointed Kate McFarlane as the new Corporate Director for Place.

Kate joins from Central Bedfordshire Council where she was Assistant Director for Business and Investment, and oversaw the delivery of economic development, inward investment, business support, place shaping and regeneration. She joined Central Beds in 2011 and was previously Head of Community Regeneration and Adult Skills.

Kate will lead on the development and delivery of the council’s economic and place-based ambitions for Huntingdonshire to ensure the district maintains and improves its desirability as a place to live and work for residents and businesses.

She will also be responsible for service areas including Economic Development, Regeneration, Housing Delivery, Leisure and Health, and Strategic Planning.
