How to pay

All our car parks have pay and display machines, allowing payment by coin or card (including contactless). Our machines accept 5p, 10p, 20p, 50p, £1 coins.

We operate the MiPermit cashless parking system which can be accessed:

There is no additional transaction fee for using this system. Users may opt to receive a reminder message (additional charges apply). 

Please note that the following Cambridgeshire County Council locations only take coin payment:

  • High Street, Huntingdon

  • Market Hill, St Ives

You are required to enter your vehicle registration number at our machines. If you encounter a machine with a letter that does not work, please skip this character and enter your registration number without it. 

Parking charges 

All our car parks have signage on site displaying the charges (where applicable) and the maximum stay, which varies by site. 

Charges in our car parks apply Monday to Saturday (inclusive) from 7am to 6pm, except for Hinchingbrooke County Park where charges apply Monday to Sunday (7 days a week).

Please note that charges apply on all bank holidays except for Christmas Day. 

Our car parks operate using either our short stay or long stay tariffs. The maximum stay varies by site.

Disabled parking and Blue Badge use

Parking is free for Blue Badge Holders displaying a valid Blue Badge with the clock displayed and set to show the time of arrival. Maximum stay limits apply.

Electric vehicle parking 

Electric vehicles using charging bays are required to pay for parking on arrival. This is not included within the charge point tariff.

Motorcycle parking 

Motorcycles may park free of charge only in designated motorcycle bays. 

Any vehicle parked in a standard parking bay is required to pay for parking for the duration of the stay. 

If you pay via our pay and display machines, tickets should be displayed and the tear-off slip retained as proof of purchase.

Alternatively you can use our mobile payment provider MiPermit for cashless parking. There is no additional transaction fee for using this system. 

Faulty ticket machine?

If you have lost money in a car park machine when trying to buy a ticket please call the Customer Service team on 01480 388388 with your vehicle details. They will advise you on the best course of action.
