St Neots Eatons County Division By-Election - Thursday 16 February 2023

A by-election will be held on Thursday 16 February 2023 for one seat on Cambridgeshire County Council in the Division of St Neots Eatons.

If you wish to stand as a candidate in this election nomination papers are available from the Elections Office by emailing elections@huntingdonshire.gov.uk. The final date to submit nomination papers is 4pm, Friday 20 January 2023.

The deadline to register to vote in this election is Tuesday 31 January 2023.

If you are unable to vote in person you can apply to vote by post, or appoint a proxy to vote on your behalf. If you wish to apply for a postal vote, please note that we must receive your application by 5pm, Wednesday 1 February 2023.

Great Gransden Neighbourhood Plan - Thursday 9 March 2023

A referendum relating to the adoption of the Great Gransden Neighbourhood Plan will be held on Thursday 9 March 2023.

The question which will be asked in the referendum is:

"Do you want Huntingdonshire District Council to use the Neighbourhood Plan for Great Gransden to help it decide planning applications for the neighbourhood area?"

A person is entitled to vote in the referendum if, on 9 March 2023:

  • he or she is entitled to vote in a local government election in the referendum area and

  • his or her qualifying address for the election is in the referendum area. A person's qualifying address is, in relation to a person registered in the Register of Electors, the address in respect of which he or she is entitled to be registered.

The deadline to register to vote in this referendum is Tuesday 21 February 2023.
