How to apply

You can only apply to change the Designated Premises Supervisor (DPS) if you are the premises licence holder.

  • If the licence is held in a company name, you must apply in the company name.

  • If the licence is held by an individual, you must apply as an individual.

We will reject applications that are submitted by anyone other than the premises licence holder. You may also need to complete a Transfer application if the licence holder has changed.

Before you apply, please ensure you have all the required information. A checklist is provided at the bottom of the guidance notes [PDF, 0.2MB].

  • Consent of DPS form [DOCX, 26KB]. The proposed DPS must be complete and sign consent form, as you will need to include this with your application.

  • A copy of the current licence. Please indicate in the customer comments on the confirmation page of the application if you are not able to provide this and state the reason why.

  • Fee - The fee of £23 will be required once the application has been submitted.

You will need to wait a few seconds to be redirected to the payment page online. Please refer to the guidance notes [PDF, 0.2MB].

Please note that if the proposed DPS has changed their address since getting their personal licence, you must ask them to update their personal licence with their issuing authority before you can submit your application.
