Huntingdonshire District Council’s One Leisure Active Lifestyles Team have relaunched their activities now lockdown restrictions are starting to ease. The team offers a wide range of sport and health related activities to promote a healthy population within the district.

After a long 3 months of lockdown to begin 2021 and an even longer year of activities stop-starting due to COVID-19, the team are hoping activities will be able to continue with no more disruptions. Walking Sports (football and netball), RightStart exercise classes for older adults, free fitness classes in the local country parks, health walks, under 5 activities, and adaptive bike sessions are just some of the activities we have on offer to Huntingdonshire’s residents. The populations’ views and opinions on living a healthy lifestyle have understandably changed within the last year, and we aim to help as many people get active as possible.

The first week back saw lots of familiar faces returning to our sessions at the One Leisure Centres and community settings around the district. Under current restrictions, all of our sessions are being held outdoors, and we look forward to bringing classes back indoors, from 17 May, as part of phase three of the government’s roadmap.

We always enjoy welcoming new participants to our sessions - to get involved or to find out if there are any other activities you could get involved in, contact us at activelifestyles@huntingdonshire.gov.uk or 01480 388111.

Look out for more activities being added as restrictions continue to ease! You can find us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram or via our website.
