Advertisement Policy

Huntingdonshire District Council offers businesses a chance to reach potential customers via their website, while also making efficiency savings. This is done by displaying advertising on its website.

The website contains information on the range of services that the council provides. The website currently receives approximately 2000 visits a day and it is a very cost effective way of reaching a large audience.

The income generated from the advertisements is put back into improving services to the residents of Huntingdonshire and helps meet one of the Council's key objectives of attracting external funding.

The council is grateful to its advertisers, as the revenue earned from advertisements contributes towards reducing the costs of council services.

The council wishes to maintain the high standards of accessibility that its website offers. Therefore the council works closely with its partners to develop design standards for the advertisements to be displayed on the website and also undertakes regular testing to ensure that the adverts do not interfere with accessibility.
The council maintains strict control of the type and content of advertisements on its website and the policy that describes these controls can be downloaded by following the link to the right.
If you see an advert that you feel contravenes this policy please use the link on the right.

Disclaimer: Where adverts appear on the website, it is the Council’s intention to clearly indicate that an advertisement is being displayed and no endorsement or approval by Huntingdonshire District Council of any product, service or supplier should be implied.
