Huntingdonshire's Community Plant and Tree Nursery in Godmanchester is holding its annual open day on Saturday 27 May, 11am to 3pm. There will be activities for all the family including face painting, craft stalls, a barbecue, homemade cakes and drinks and, of course, an opportunity to buy nursery-grown plants.

Huntingdonshire District Council Ranger, Brian Gardner, said: "As well as giving people the opportunity to see what our Community Plant and Tree Nursery has to offer, there will be fun activities for all the family. For anyone who hasn’t discovered this hidden gem, the four acre site includes a vegetable garden, a cut flower garden, an orchard growing 19 local varieties of heritage apple, an apiary and bee garden, a drought garden, a nuttery, and a rose garden. Why not come along to the open day and take a look? You could pick up some ideas to use in your own garden and buy some plants too."

The Community Plant and Tree Nursery is situated behind 25 Park Lane, Godmanchester (see map). Limited parking is available on site. Further pay and display parking is available a short walk away at Bridge Place, Huntingdon (see map).
