Sunday 1 October will see the return of the Huntingdonshire Disability Sports Forum’s Annual Indoor Sports Festival. The event is supported by the One Leisure Active Lifestyles team at Huntingdonshire District Council and will give people with disabilities the chance to take part in a variety of different sports challenges and activities throughout the day.

Participants can book in for activities before the day or just turn up and take part in a wide range of sports tasters including boccia, kurling and tennis. There will also be popular activities such as cricket, football, tri-golf, Zumba and ten-pin bowling. Participants can also bring along family and friends to share in the fun!

The Festival is run in conjunction with local disability sports clubs and organisations such as the Huntingdonshire Cricket Board, St Ives Rangers Disability Football Club, Hunts Boccia, Ramsey Ravens Archery Club, Little Miracles Dance Club and One Leisure.

Cllr Angie Dickinson, Executive Councillor for Community Resilience, Wellbeing and Regulatory Services said: "These festivals provide an excellent opportunity for people with different disabilities to try a diverse range of sports and provide pathways for continued participation by linking up with local clubs. These events always provide fun and enjoyment for everyone and are fully inclusive."

The Festival costs £5 per person and will be held at One Leisure St Ives Indoor. The event runs from 10.30am until 3.30pm, with sports taster sessions taking place from 11am until 3pm, followed by some fun races and presentations.
