On Saturday 30 April and Sunday 1 May 2016, the England Touch Association (ETA) is hosting a Touch Rugby National Tournament at Huntingdonshire District Council’s One Leisure St Ives Outdoor Complex.

The tournament will include both a National and Challenge Touch Series, along with a Men’s and Women’s Touch Cup (MWTC), which is new for 2016.

On Saturday, the National and Challenge Touch Series will both be taking place. The top 28 teams in the country will battle it out for silverware at each event and compete to become the crowned Series champions. This will take place at four venues across the UK. The Series stop at St Ives will see high level mixed sex games showcasing a combination of competiveness and team spirit. On Sunday, the MWTC is being held. This is an open championship to promote and support the progression of both the men’s and women’s games.

Jayne Wisely, Head of Leisure and Health, said: "Huntingdonshire District Council is delighted that one of our One Leisure facilities has once again been chosen to host this event. The outdoor centre is a jewel in our crown and provides excellent facilities. This has been recognised by the event organisers by returning again this year."

Events on both days will be start around 10am and finish at approximately 6pm. Residents are welcome to come along and watch.
