What is DASH?

Delivering Activity and Sport in Huntingdonshire (DASH) is a three-year project that aims to get more people in the district taking part in sport. DASH is funded by Sport England.

The DASH project is currently in Phase II, which runs until March 2017. It has so far delivered a range of sessions and activities, working with national governing bodies and local sports clubs.

The different levels of DASH Phase II are:

  • Level 1: Events

Mass participation events – village festivals, sports festival in the park, sports hub events

  • Level 2: Have a go

  • Level 3: Get the bug

Sessions run by coaches in four to eight week blocks - adult sports courses

  • Level 4: Habit for life

Regular ongoing sessions – including street sports, PEDALS, U Canoesports for all, college and sixth form sport and school sports
