Car Parks

 

As from 1st March 2012, Cambridge Street car park will close due to redevelopment as part of the St. Neots Cinema proposals.

Please go to the St. Neots Car Park map in the Linked Documents for details of alternative car parks within the town centre or refer to the charging list below.

For those people in possession of either a Resident Parking Permit or Season Ticket, alternative parking is available at Tebbutts Road, The Priory, Tan Yard or Riverside (long-stay section).

All ticket machines accept 5, 10, 20 and 50 pence coins. In addition, all ticket machines in car parks (not On-Street parking - see below) accept £1 coins with those at Riverside, Huntingdon and Bridge Place, Godmanchester also accepting payment by credit or debit card.

The pay and display car parking machines do not allow ‘buy throughs’ until the next day. An all day ticket will expire at the end of the charging period for the same day i.e. 18:00.
You can park for free in all HDC car parks in the evening after 18:00 but if you are leaving your car overnight you will need to buy a new ticket the next morning when charges commence.

If you have lost money in a car park machine when trying to buy a ticket please contact the Call Centre on (01480) 388388 with your vehicle details so that the fault can be investigated and leave a note in your car on the dash board to explain that you tried to buy a ticket. No refunds will be given. If your claim is found to be fraudulent then you may be issued with a penalty notice for failure to display a valid ticket.

All parking for the disabled, together with the display of a 'Blue Badge', is exempt from charge or time limitation unless otherwise stated below (please see St. Germain Street and Chequers Way, Huntingdon and Godmanchester). Users must note that both the Blue Badge and Clock should be displayed at all times.

On Street Parking

The Council also maintains some on street pay and display car parking at a cost of  30p for 1 hour maximum stay. These are; High Street Huntingdon, Market Hill St Ives and Market Square St Neots.
