Scoping Documents
A person proposing to submit an Environmental Statement (ES) under the Environmental Impact Assessment Regulations 2011 may ask the Local Planning Authority to state in writing their opinion as to the information to be provided in the ES (a request for a “scoping opinion”). In preparing its opinion, the Local Planning Authority will seek the views of consultation bodies on the information that they consider should be provided.
