Huntingdonshire has success
at LABC East Anglian Awards

The annual East Anglian building excellence awards took place on Friday 13th June 2014 at St. Andrews Hall, Norwich. 
Every year building control are involved in approximately 2000 building projects. The majority of these are run of the mill but occasionally there are projects which stand out. The developers of these projects are encouraged to submit a nomination to the LABC for entry into the regional building excellence awards. Building control provide an endorsement for the project/ developer/ architect.
Three of the nominations submitted in Huntingdonshire made it through to the finals and representatives from all the nominees and building control attended the black tie event.

Two of the finalists won their category.

Winners are now automatically forwarded to the LABC National Awards, a prestigious event to be held at the Brewery in London later in the year.

Huntingdonshire District Council building control service is a locally based, value for money, award winning team that is committed to giving you the best service available.

We have a vast amount of experience within our qualified staff and a broad, thorough knowledge of all types of buildings and construction methods.

Our high level of service has encouraged a large number of business partners who continue to forge strong links and allow us to be part of the design team. We also work in conjunction with Cambridgeshire LABC which consists of the six local council building control sections within the county, working together with the aim of ensuring continuous improvements to achieve quality building control service.

Working in conjunction with LABC we are a member of the Partnership Scheme. This enables architects to submit all of their applications to a single authority and ensures a consistent interpretation.

We continue to be the chosen building control provider for the majority of work within the district and can therefore guarantee an independent and competitively priced service. 

Local Authority Partnership Scheme.

Huntingdonshire District Council building control service is part of the partnership scheme run by Local Authority Building Control. This scheme enables architects and developers to partner with a local authority and submit all of their building regulation applications to the same authority.

We can offer a dedicated officer to deal with all your submissions, pre application advice and all contact with the inspecting authority will be carried out by us. We will accept applications in the form which best suits you, by post or email.
