Building Control in Huntingdonshire

Huntingdonshire District Council building control service is a locally based, value for money, award winning team that is committed to giving you the best service available.

We have a vast amount of experience within our qualified staff and a broad, thorough knowledge of all types of buildings and construction methods.

Our high level of service has encouraged a large number of business partners who continue to forge strong links and allow us to be part of the design team. We also work in conjunction with Cambridgeshire LABC which consists of the six local council building control sections within the county, working together with the aim of ensuring continuous improvements to achieve quality building control service.

Working in conjunction with LABC we are a member of the Partnership Scheme. This enables architects to submit all of their applications to a single authority and ensures a consistent interpretation.

We continue to be the chosen building control provider for the majority of work within the district and can therefore guarantee an independent and competitively priced service.

Building Regulations have changed from 1 October 2015. You can download a document explaining the changes by using the link under Linked Documents on the right of the page. If you have any questions, please contact us at building control.

Local Authority Partnership Scheme

Huntingdonshire District Council building control service is part of the partnership scheme run by Local Authority Building Control. This scheme enables architects and developers to partner with a local authority and submit all of their building regulation applications to the same authority.

We can offer a dedicated officer to deal with all your submissions, pre application advice and all contact with the inspecting authority will be carried out by us. We will accept applications in the form which best suits you, by post or email.

If you are interested in discussing this service further then please contact us. Further information is available by downloading the brochure under linked documents.
