A Cadet from St John Ambulance is to support the Chairman of Huntingdonshire District Council during his second term of office.

Councillor Jeff Dutton is pleased to announce that he will be supported by Freya Teesdale from Huntingdon who works as a Badger helper with children aged five to eleven, and is also Leading Cadet in a division of older children aged 11 to 16. Freya has over 300 hours volunteering as a fully qualified first aider and first aid trainer, and has achieved several positions of responsibility within the organisation. She is a high achiever and very self motivated, and aims to be a published author, consultant neurosurgeon and St John county commander in 20 years time.

During his first term of office, Councillor Dutton was supported by Larkin Sayre of the Cambridge City Division of St John Ambulance, and would like to extend his thanks to Larkin for her support and to wish her well for the future.

St John Ambulance (Huntingdonshire) is one of the charities receiving support from the Chairman during his two year term. Councillor Dutton said: “I am thrilled that we are able to raise awareness of the work of St John Ambulance in such a positive way.”

The Chairman’s other charities are East Anglia Multiple Sclerosis Therapy Centre (Huntingdon), Alzheimer’s Society and Parkinson’s UK.

Councillor Dutton would also like to welcome Reverend Andrew Milton to his civic team. Reverend Milton will be the Chairman’s Chaplain, supporting him at appropriate events during the coming municipal year.
