Payments can be made the following way:

Direct Debit

This is the most convenient way to pay your Council Tax and Business Rates. To pay by direct debit  call us during office hours on 01480 388030 (Please have your bank account details ready).

Internet

You can pay various bills and invoices by debit or credit card by accessing the internet payments link on the right hand side.

Council Tax/Business Rates/Parking Fines Payments Telephone No 01480 388165

You can now make payments for Council Tax. Business Rates and Parking fines using our automated payments line which is available 365 days a year, 24 hours a day. Please ensure you have your reference number or parking fine number to hand when you are calling.

Please note there is a 1.6% charge for payment by Credit card for Council tax and Business rates.

We do not accept payment by American Express or Diners cards.

We do not take cash for most services including Council Tax, Business Rates, Licensing and Sundry accounts at all our payment offices listed. We have moved cash payments, for all the above except Licensing payments to an alternative provider (Allpay) who have more places to enable you to make your payment closer to home. Payment over the Bank Counter

You can pay over the Bank counter but the Council will no longer provide vouchers.  Your bank may charge for this service.

Payment at Post Office by Transcash

The Post Office make a charge for this service.

Using Post Office stationery, credit the Council's Girobank Account number 2183226. You must also quote your Council Tax or Sundry Debtor reference number which you will find on the front of your bill or invoice.

Payment by Post Office Girobank customers by funds transfer

Invoice Payment

In addition to the above payment methods, a Sundry Debtor invoice can be paid at one of the Council's Leisure Centres.  Please see the related information link for details of Leisure Centre locations. Please note Council Tax and Business Rates cannot be paid at the Leisure Centres.
