Stukeley Road Skate Park
Hunts Skaters worked with Huntingdonshire District Council, Huntingdon Town Council, Cambridgeshire Constabulary and local residents to secure the site and funding for the skate park.
The Skate Park opened in July 2009 after local skaters had successfully secured funding of over £18,000 from contributions from BIG Lottery, Huntingdon Youth Bank, Huntingdon Freemens Charity, Huntingdonshire District Council and Sainsbury’s. Hunts Skaters had worked with local residents and partner agencies for over six years to identify a suitable location and secure the funding to build the largest and one of the very few street style skate facilities in the country. It is the responsibility of Huntingdon Town Council to carry out the maintenance of the Skate Park.
