Cambridge Sub-Region
There are seven District Councils which make up the Cambridge Sub-Region.
These are:
• Cambridge City Council
• East Cambridgeshire District Council
• Fenland District Council
• Forest Heath District Council
• Huntingdonshire District Council
• South Cambridgeshire District Council
• St Edmundsbury District Council
These Councils work together to help address the housing needs of the area. The Cambridge Sub-Regional Housing Board (CRHB) acts in partnership to share learning and experiences across our housing market area to:
• Deliver new homes which support economic success.
• Create balanced, mixed, sustainable communities.
• Improve standards in existing housing.
• Meet housing needs and tackle homelessness.
• Enable better health through housing and support.
Examples of joint projects include the Strategic Housing Market Assessment and the Home link Choice Based Lettings process for the allocation of affordable housing.
The Cambridge Sub-Region Housing Statement 2011 sets out the issues facing the area and priorities for future joint working.
