Sheltered and Supported Housing
Many elderly people wish to remain in their own homes but may need some level of support to do so. The links on the right hand side of this page take you to sites that give advice and information provided by a range of organisations that may be helpful.
In some cases, remaining in your own home may not be an option and you may wish to consider a move to sheltered housing. The Housing Options for Older People booklet (see the Linked Documents box on this page) provides information on remaining in your own home as well as information about sheltered housing.
If you would like to apply for sheltered housing, you need to register on the Home-Link scheme. (see the 'How to apply to Home-Link' section in the Related Information box on this page).
So that we know more about what type of sheltered housing you would be willing to consider, please complete and return the form 'Sheltered Housing Requirements Form' (see the Linked Documents box on this page). If you cannot download and print this form, you can request a paper copy by e-mailing Housing Services (see the Related Information box on this page).
