If you are looking for housing in Huntingdonshire there are several options open to you. Please remember that there are far more households applying for rented Housing Association properties than there are properties available so you should consider all options open to you.
Apply to the Housing Register
You can apply to the council's Housing Register via the Home-Link scheme. You can complete an on line application on the Registration page of that website or request a paper copy to complete and return.
Privately Rent
This is often the quickest and most realistic way of finding housing for most households. You can apply to the private rental agencies in the area for suitable accommodation. We have a scheme that helps households that are homeless or threatened with homelessness with the first months rent in advance and/or deposit. Low Cost Home Ownership
There are a number of different low cost home ownership schemes that provide a more affordable option for households trying to get onto the first rung of the homeownership ladder. Orbit First Step is the organisation appointed by Government to provide a "one-stop-shop" for all of these home ownership schemes in Cambridgeshire. The link on the right of this page takes you to the Orbit First Step website which provides you with further details of the types of low cost homeownership options, who is eligible, how to apply and information on the properties available.
