Council
All Councillors sit together as full Council at meetings which take place six times a year, plus the Annual Meeting held in May. The Council is principally responsible for the policy and strategic framework.
They agree the budget and council tax, elect the Leader, appoint the Deputy Leader, Chief Executive and Chief Officers and other Members to the Council's Committees and other Panels, etc. For more information on the procedure and how to apply to speak at meetings, please use the link on the right hand side of this page.
Council meetings are open to the public and are held in the Civic Suite, located on the Pathfinder House site. Meetings start at 7.00 pm. Copies of the Agenda are available in Libraries throughout the District and via our meetings link.
