What are Top Services?
Top services / Top tasks are the most commonly used / requested features on our website. Where possible we link directly to the appropriate service or form but in some cases we point to a page that explains how the service works first.
The top services can be found on our website homepage (where they are grouped by category and visitor type), many of our main service area pages (where they are filtered to only show services of relevance) as well as being available via our search results page and A to Z
.
The list of services is maintained by our Customer Services team who decide on the priority of each link and change the ranking according to service predictions (i.e elections) as well as by looking at analytical data pertaining to numbers of visits and search engine data over the last month. We also analyse how often each of the top service links is used and promote well used ones while demoting the less well used.
The list of services was initially derived from analysing call volumes, website visits and face to face topics but is amended frequently to reflect the changing demands on the council.
