Farcet
Adjoining the Peterborough suburb of Old Fletton is Farcet, a growing village beside the old course of the River Nene with a parish extending east across the fens as far as Pondersbridge.
This is a richly productive agricultural area and one where coins and other relics of the Roman period have been unearthed. The church is partly Norman, and not far away is a rather elegant house, semi-classical in style, of 1684.
