Town Centre Management
The council provides funding and works closely with a town ‘partnership’ or ‘initiative’ in each of our four market towns.
These are membership based organisations which encourage businesses and key stakeholders to work together in a positive way to help the towns build on their strengths and respond to challenges.
The work of each partnership is tailored according to the specific needs of each town but priorities include such issues as ensuring the cleanliness and safety of the town centres, events to encourage footfall, providing networking opportunities for businesses and consultation with local stakeholders regarding the development of these towns, all of which are undergoing significant growth.
