Make it your Market programme
If you have ever fancied running a market stall or even having a small shop, now would be a great time to have a go!
The ‘Make it your Market’ Programme consists of a combination of advice on how to set up your our market trader business and discounts on market stall pitches in Huntingdon, Ramsey and St Ives.
Anyone interested in starting a market stall business can attend a drop in session, completely free of charge. It will cover how to plan, structure, research and set up a market stall business including how to deal with tax, national insurance and VAT. You will also get guidance on how best to display your goods, look after your customers and find additional advice and support for your new business.
Participants in any one of the workshops, will qualify for a number of discounted pitch fees at certain markets in Huntingdon, Ramsey and St Ives.
Four market stalls are also now available to borrow free of charge (for a limited period) to participants in the ‘Make it Your Market’ programme. These stalls have been funded by Improvement East, the Regional and Efficiency Partnership for the East of England who support local authorities and fire and rescue services in their drive to improve services and increase efficiency.
