Land Charges Fees
The fees detailed below are correct as at 1st April 2012. All cheques must be made payable to Huntingdonshire District Council. These will be reviewed in the context of changes being introduced by the Government’s local authority modernisation programme and the introduction of the Home Information Pack. The appropriate fee must accompany searches. If the initial payment is insufficient/incorrect we will return the search.
Land Charges Fees with effect from 1st April 2012.
- Basic Residential Search Fee £69.00
- Basic Commercial Search Fee £99.00
- LLC1 £19.00 - several parcels of land (each additional parcel of land is £3.30)
- Personal Search fee withdrawn from 6th August 2010*, personal inspection of register required
- Residential Standard Enquiries CON 29R
(a) one parcel of land £50.00(b) several parcels of land (each additional parcel) £18.30
- Commercial Standard Enquiries CON 29R
(a) one parcel of land £80.00
- (b) several parcels of land (each additional parcel) £27.50
- CON 29O (Each Enquiry) £6.00 except Question 5, 9,17 & 22 which are £12.00, £8.00 £13.00 & £11.00 respectively
- Solicitors Own Enquiry (Each Enquiry) £11.00. Please contact the County council for Highway Extract price
Prices for Copies of Documents
Costs for copies of Section 106 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 (S106) documents or similar are £5.00 per Document required. For further information please contact the Land Charges Section on 01480 388019/20.

*Refund of Personal Search Fees
Until the Local Land Charges (Amendment) Rules, which came into force on 17 August 2010, the Council had been required to collect the Personal Search Fee as required by legislation made by Central Government. Consequently anyone who considers they are entitled to a refund is directed in the first instance to the Ministry of Justice."
