Economic Partnerships
Economic Prosperity and Skills Partnership:
The Economic Prosperity and Skills Huntingdonshire Strategic Partnership is just one of many partnerships that the Council is involved in. The group consists of representatives from business, local government and the 3rd sector. The group works to promote a vibrant and sustainable local economy.
The partnership includes the following organisations:
Business Link:
Business Link East is a government-funded service designed to promote enterprise in the Eastern region.
Huntingdonshire Business Network:
The Huntingdonshire Business Network is a membership based organisation with a volunteer committee of business people dedicated to improving business in our region.
Federation of Small Businesses:
The Federation of Small Businesses is the UK's largest campaigning pressure group promoting and protecting the interests of the self-employed and owners of small firms.
Huntingdonshire Regional College:
Provide training in a broad range of occupational areas & industrial/ commercial sectors. Training includes - IT, accountancy, management, engineering, construction, care, hair & beauty & much more.
Hunts Forum:
Hunts Forum of Voluntary Organisations is an umbrella body for voluntary and community groups in Huntingdonshire.
Jobcentre Plus:
Jobcentre Plus is a government agency supporting people of working age from welfare into work, and helping employers to fill their vacancies.
Luminus:
Provide homes for over 30,000 people, and are continuing to build high quality homes in communities where people enjoy living.
NWES:
Enterprise agency NWES specialises in helping people turn their business idea into a reality.
Town Centre Partnerships:
Each of Huntingdonshire's 4 market towns (Huntingdon, St Ives, St Neots & Ramsey) have a Town Centre Partnership. Each partnership strives to create an environment in which businesses can flourish and townspeople can enjoy a better place to live and work.
